F’s

I was out with my friends last Saturday night. Going out with them is probably the usual thing I do every night. And yes, even during weekdays. I enjoy their company whenever we go to one of our classmates’ house, doing some projects and research and stuff. I love my friends more than anything else next to God. And yeah, even more than my own family.

I know it was so rude of me to consider that I love my friends more than I love my own family, despite of the reality that my mom and my dad are my first and real friends. I could even hardly think of them whenever I’m with my friends — like how’re they doing and all.

On my way home last night, a sudden realization came into me. Striking me like some Badminton player, desperately smashing some shuttlecock. I knew how rude I am. I realized how stupid I am to put my friends over my family.

But I guess nothing is on top of the other. Because of my family, I existed; and because of my friends, I get to know who I really am. And the fun and joy I’m experiencing with my family and with my friends are different. So why compare?

Those two f’s encircle the two sides of my personality. And I couldn’t live without those f’s. And I know no one can. :)
