Are We Going Somewhere? Well I’m Going Somewhere
The wide street of EDSA is lined with yellow ribbons that are symbols of how the Philippines united on one main goal. It was more than two decades ago but no one could still forget about that.
Despite the People Power Revolution, the democratic political system of the Philippines is still fragile and flawed. Politics is still messy. And Filipinos…yeah, the Filipinos — are we really going somewhere? Those rallies, protests, accusations against the government, all that corruption…are these things leading us somewhere? Or probably taking us nowhere?

More on personal. Enough of that social crap.
My usual afternoon shook me up to the thought of having a real job. You know, making your own dough with your own blood and sweat. I’m pretty excited about it.
Well the reason behind why I suddenly thought of having a job is that my Comp. Sci. teacher offered me this job in an IT company as a web designer (what else could I do?) this morning. At first, I was surprised but then and until now, I’m so excited to start making some money. He said that I’ll be working with hot-shot Java programmers who are in so much need of a web designer. Cool. It’s money, baby! So I accepted it.
When I told my parents about it, they also got excited. Probably because I’ll be making my own dough and I’m not gonna be a weight on their shoulders that much. Well good for them. But I don’t know if being a half independent high school student is good for me. I have to be good in balancing act, that is. I should be also good in handling the pressure between my studies and my job.
But for now, my excitement is still going higher and higher and higher. And I so love calling that job thing a “job”. Makes me feel so professional and decent. Lol.

@Jazmine Hehe. Sabi ko nga dun sa teacher ko, kahit wag na ko mag-aral ayos lang eh, basta kumikita na ko. Hehe. Pero importante pa rin talaga ang studies beside everything else.
